Description:
!!!THIS CAR IS STILL LOCATED IN OUR SHOWROOMS IN USA!!!

Few cars inspire more romance than an early Corvette. Imagine peeling back the top on this gorgeous 1959 roadster and hitting the road for adventure, the song of the 283 burbling behind you, your best lady by your side, and everyone you pass wishing they were you. Motoring doesn't get much better than that.

The white side cove is classic early Corvette, perfect in detailing and proportion, and elegantly styled by the best in the business during the '50s. The menu was extensive in 1959, with 888 customers selecting the Crown Sapphire Blue finish seen on this lovely roadster. Subject to an extensive (and expensive) recent restoration, it is simply spectacular in person. Subtle and sophisticated, the Crown Sapphire Blue captures the essence of Corvette without being brash about it. Fiberglass work is show-quality, with surfaces that are far straighter and flatter than they were when the car was new and modern technology gives it a gloss that was only a fantasy in 1959. The chrome trunk straps were gone, but there's still plenty of brightwork to give this Corvette real flash, and all of it has been professionally restored to show standards, including the toothy front grille and intricate rear bumpers with exhaust outlets in their centers. This car also includes a matching hardtop that has been restored to the same levels and fits as it should.

The matching blue vinyl interior is almost as nice as the bodywork, with only light signs of use since it was restored. The buckets are firm and supportive, the carpets are fresh, and the three-spoke steering wheel would look right at home in a vintage racer. The door panels are beautifully rendered in two-tone blue vinyl with bright engine-turned inserts and stylish armrests that suggest someone at GM worked overtime to make them look so good. Gauges are comprehensive, with a correct 5500 RPM redline tachometer and domed speedometer that puts everything in the driver's line of sight. Who says the '50s were about style over ergonomics? The original Signal-Seeking AM radio remains in the dash right above the heater controls and clock, all of which are fully functional. Overhead there's also a white convertible top that stows easily behind the seats, where it disappears under a hard tonneau cover and lovely waterfall between the seats.

The base 283 cubic inch V8 topped by a 4-barrel carburetor was fully rebuilt and detailed during the restoration. Chevy Orange paint, gorgeous cast aluminum valve covers, and plenty of chrome distinguish the high-level Corvette engine from lesser small blocks, and it runs even better than it looks. Correct accessories, including the generator, have been installed and it all works superbly. A 4-speed manual transmission was an extra-cost item, but what self-respecting Corvette owner would be caught without one? Underneath it's clean and well-finished, and rides on vintage-looking wide whitewall radials for improved handling.

With more than $32,000 in restoration cost, this is a no-stories matching-numbers early 'Vette. Call today!
